It starts from an altitude of 1400 meters with a winding road that runs along the river giving wonderful views. The easy path ends in the city of Pieve Santo Stefano. Do not miss the scenic beauty of Fumaiolo Mountain where the river comes to life, in a dense beech forest. Here you can read on the marble column, "Here comes the sacred river to the destiny of Rome." Arrival in hotel, accommodation, Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure for the second stage: PIEVE SANTO STEFANO - SAN GIUSTINO. From Tuscany to Umbria; you can enjoy a beautiful view of the artificial lake Montedoglio. The route is also an opportunity to discovering beautiful towns, such as Anghiari or St. Sepolcro. The route has some slight difficulty in the area of Lake Montedoglio, which runs alongside. Just above the basin is Caprese Michelangelo, birthplace of Michelangelo Buonarroti. From Sansepolcro path becomes flatter until the arrival in San Giustino. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure for the third stage: SAN GIUSTINO - UMBERTIDE. The third stage passes through the villages of Piosina, Città di Castello, Trestina, Niccone using cycle paths away from traffic. The route is almost entirely along the banks of the river and has no difficulty in altitude.
Breakfast. Fourth stage: UMBERTIDE—PERUGIA (PONTE SAN GIOVANNI). The route takes us to the heart of our journey. The river is increasingly important and takes you across dirt roads, pedestrian paths and areas with little traffic. No significant asperities. Arrival in hotel in Perugia, dinner with sporting menù, overnight.
Breakfast. Sixth stage. MARSCIANO - TODI. The trail is short but mild depressions and uneven sections in the Montemolino area require preparation. On the other hand, however, it is a step very interesting from the point of view of nature and art. It is through the ancient village of Fratta Todina and then along the railway suddenly you discover the city of Todi. Accommodation in hotel, farewell dinner with Umbrian special menu, overnight.
Breakfast and departure.
Breakfast. Fifth stage: PERUGIA (PONTE SAN GIOVANNI) - MARSCIANO. The course touches ancient villages rich in history as Deruta and Torgiano that well worth a short detour from the main road.
